The ICS Art Exhibition 2025, held from 17 to 19 October 2025 at i12 Katong Atrium, brought together art, emotion, and community in a remarkable display of strength and healing. Organised by International Cancer Specialists (ICS), the event served as both an art exhibition and the launch of ICS’s first-ever publication — a celebration of resilience, creativity, and the human spirit in the face of cancer.
A Celebration Of Strength, Expression, And Healing
Over the three-day period, the atrium of i12 Katong transformed into a vibrant gallery space showcasing artworks created by cancer patients under the mentorship of Dr Leon K.L. Chew, a renowned Singaporean art professor and therapist. Each piece told a unique story of courage, reflecting the personal journeys of patients who found solace and empowerment through creative expression.
ICS has long believed that healing extends beyond medicine. The exhibition embodied this philosophy, bringing to life the organisation’s commitment to holistic care. As ICS aptly stated, “Art has the ability to heal, to inspire, and to bring communities together.”
The ICS Book Launch: The ICS Way
Coinciding with the exhibition, ICS launched its first publication, a comprehensive collection of patient guides, health resources, and insights into “The ICS Way” — the care philosophy that has guided the organisation since its founding in 2008. The book underscores that healing encompasses the physical, emotional, spiritual, and communal aspects of life, illustrating how ICS goes beyond traditional cancer care to nurture every dimension of well-being.
This publication aims to support patients, caregivers, and the community at large by providing accessible knowledge on prevention, screening, and coping strategies. It stands as a testament to ICS’s mission of competent and compassionate cancer care.
Art With Purpose: Giving Back To The Community
The Healing Through Art exhibition was not only a celebration of creativity but also a platform for giving. Proceeds from patients’ artwork, along with 50% of the proceeds from Dr Leon K.L. Chew’s paintings, were donated to TOUCH Community Services, an organisation dedicated to empowering lives and fostering resilience in Singapore.
This charitable initiative reinforced ICS’s vision of extending healing beyond clinical settings — transforming art into a force for community upliftment.

A Lasting Impression
