HKSH Medical Group and Siemens Healthineers have signed a collaboration agreement designating HKSH as the first Photon-Counting Computed Tomography Simulator Reference Site in Asia.

• The photon-counting CT system uses cadmium telluride crystal detectors to convert X-ray photons directly into electrical signals, enabling high spatial resolution imaging with up to a 70% reduction in radiation dose.
• HKSH will introduce two additional PCCT-Sim systems within the year to support expanded clinical diagnosis and radiotherapy planning.
• Clinical data generated from the collaboration will be used to develop international workflows, with findings to be presented at global medical congresses in May and June 2026.
