Lucence and A*STAR’s DxD Hub Collaborate on Multi-Cancer Screening

Lucence and the Diagnostics Development Hub (DxD Hub), a national platform hosted by Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), are collaborating to expand the use of the LucenceINSIGHT™ multi-cancer early detection test to alternative sample types, such as urine.

  • Project Objective: The partnership aims to adapt the current blood-based ctDNA technology for use with non-invasive samples like urine. This shift is intended to simplify collection, reduce extraction costs, and improve screening accessibility for asymptomatic individuals.
  • Expanded Capabilities: LucenceINSIGHT™ currently screens for up to 50 common cancers from a single blood draw. The collaboration includes local hospital partners to recruit patients for clinical validation of these new sampling methods.
  • Past Success: The collaboration builds on previous joint ventures, such as the development of UNITED™ 600—a comprehensive tissue genomic profiling test that detects 572 DNA genes and 71 RNA fusions to guide treatment selection within two weeks.
