Simcere Pharmaceutical Group Limited has entered a research collaboration with Stanford University School of Medicine to develop potential treatments for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) using small-molecule candidates.

• Scientific Focus: The collaboration will evaluate small-molecule candidates targeting biological pathways associated with lung tissue fibrosis in IPF.
• Project Structure: Preclinical evaluation of the lead candidates will begin at Stanford Medicine as part of a multi-year research programme.
