University College London (UCL) and Eisai Co., Ltd. have signed a new agreement extending their collaboration in drug discovery and development for neurodegenerative diseases for a further five years, through to 2030.

• Research Focus: The partnership will advance drug discovery projects targeting neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
• Development Activities: The collaboration will focus on progressing projects through recognised drug development stages while identifying and advancing new drug discovery programmes.
• Capacity Building: The agreement also supports the creation of specialist research roles and continued collaboration between academic and industry researchers.
