BioMed X and Boehringer Ingelheim have expanded their XSeed Labs collaboration by launching a new research team to advance next-generation biologics for retinal diseases.

• Research Focus: The team will develop a human organotypic in vitro platform to support the development and validation of next-generation intraocular biologics for retinal diseases.
• Operational Model: The project will be conducted at XSeed Labs, embedded within Boehringer Ingelheim’s U.S. R&D headquarters in Ridgefield, Connecticut, combining BioMed X’s innovation model with pharmaceutical research.
• Partnership Expansion: The initiative expands the XSeed Labs collaboration launched two years ago, extending the partnership into ophthalmology research.
