Chime Biologics has inaugurated its GMP-2 manufacturing facility in Wuhan, China, as part of its ongoing collaboration with life sciences company Cytiva to expand biologics manufacturing capacity.

• Equipment and Capacity: The facility is equipped with eight 2,000-litre single-use Xcellerex bioreactors supplied by Cytiva to support biologics manufacturing from development through commercial production.
• Future Expansion: Chime Biologics announced plans to invest in an AI-powered megafactory comprising more than 100 2,000-litre bioreactors.
• International Growth: Overseas markets currently account for approximately 50% of total order value, with revenue from markets outside China expected to reach around 70% within the next five years.
