• Charges: Dr Lim pleaded guilty to one charge of professional misconduct under section 59D(1)(c) of the Medical Registration Act 1997 for failing to provide appropriate care, with a related charge taken into consideration.
• Findings: The Tribunal found that he did not refer the patient to hospital or a specialist across five consultations, despite signs of serious infection including cellulitis and wet gangrene.
• Outcome: A 13-month suspension was imposed, along with censure, a written undertaking not to repeat similar conduct, and an order to pay the costs of the proceedings.
