SystImmune and Sichuan Biokin Pharmaceutical have received regulatory approval in China for iza-bren (BL-B01D1) to treat recurrent or metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma in patients whose disease progressed after platinum-based chemotherapy and PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitor therapy.

• Indication: The approval covers patients with recurrent or metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma whose disease progressed following platinum-based chemotherapy and PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitor treatment.
• Clinical Data: In the Phase III BL-B01D1-303 study, iza-bren achieved a confirmed objective response rate of 54.6% compared with 27.0% for chemotherapy and improved median progression-free survival to 8.38 months from 4.34 months.
• Technology: Iza-bren is an EGFR×HER3 bispecific antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) targeting receptors expressed in multiple epithelial cancers.
