CordenPharma has entered into an agreement to acquire AmbioPharm, a US-headquartered contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO), to expand its global peptide Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing capabilities.

• Manufacturing expansion: The acquisition adds AmbioPharm’s facilities in North Augusta, South Carolina and Shanghai, extending CordenPharma’s peptide manufacturing network across three continents.
• Technical integration: The combined platform will support linear and fragment-based peptide manufacturing using Solid-Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS), Liquid-Phase Peptide Synthesis (LPPS), hybrid synthesis, and Tag-Assisted Peptide Synthesis (TAPS).
• Operational footprint: Approximately 400 employees and additional upstream and downstream peptide manufacturing capacity will be integrated into CordenPharma’s global operations.
