• Complaint History: The complaint was filed in 2014 following Hong’s role as an expert witness in disciplinary proceedings involving surgeon Susan Lim. Complaints Committees had previously found the complaint unjustified in 2015 and 2018.
• Legal Process: After an appeal by the complainant, the Health Minister directed that a disciplinary inquiry be held in October 2020. The tribunal subsequently dismissed the charges and acquitted Hong.
